Trying to exercise while you’re travelling can be difficult, especially considering you can cart around weights and equipment in your luggage. Here are some great ways to exercise while you’re on the move…

Exercise straps

These can attach to a door (using the attachment) or any secure anchor point which could take your weight. Once securely attached to an anchor point you can use your own body weight, positions and body angles to do a really effective full body workout. Unless you’re super morbidly obese then these straps are safe to use (they’re stronger than you think) and they all roll up into a handy little travel bag.

Resistance bands

Resistance bands are a great addition to any strength training, yoga or rehabilitation program and come in a variety of sizes, lengths, strengths and types. This portable exercise equipment is also easily stored, making it perfect for use while travelling or in an apartment. Just like free weights, exercise bands come in a range of resistance levels, from highly stretchable to heavy-duty strength.

Clubs and Meet ups

In almost any major city you will find groups of people meeting up to do sports and activities from rock climbing to football. While not all clubs let in randoms, if you have a word with them then they may let you join them for a short period of time while you’re in the city. Alternatively we recommend using Meetup where you can find groups to meet up with and exercise. This kills two birds with one stone because you are exercising and meeting new people at the same time.

Use your legs

Two things most people have are two legs and there’s no need to buy them or pack them into your luggage. Not only are they good for exercise but they also get you out and about seeing the place, afterall that’s part of being a nomad right? heres some different ways you can use these two amazing tools…
